After noticing some spots on my shoulders, I decided to make a Health Pledge & go and get a check up from a Dermatologist. I have now had some early detection & treatment options sorted. This gives me confidence surrounding possible skin cancer spots, how to spot them and when to get a check up.

With my life spent racing, between training, media commitments & volunteering, I'm often so busy fulfilling commitments to others, I neglect time spent doing something for myself.
My Health Pledge to invest in 1hour, 3x a week of "me time". This could be going to see a movie, taking a walk with a good podcast or sitting at a cafe reading the paper.
Time spent filling our up own cup makes us better equipped to help others & scheduling this in can make sure we don't forget to invest in ourselves.

As a working mum of 2 very active boys, and myself a keen fitness and running enthusiast, I often find myself purchasing quick and easy processed snacks and using the same meal recipes for the family. It’s easy to choose these at the grocery store for both cost and convenience. I pledge to find the time to shop properly for whole foods, and to cook healthy snacks and more variety in main meals.
I know whole foods are so much better for me and the boys, and pledge to be more conscious of the foods I select and provide for the family. I love cooking, so I know I can find quick and easy healthy recipes to use and teach the children for future better eating habits. I also pledge to educate the boys on the “why” these foods are best for our bodies to fuel our “car” – our bodies!
